Sigma Space Corp Attends Launchfest 2008
Thanks to David Kuok for his support of the SOLC (Space Operations Learning Center) booth at NASA Goddard's LaunchFest on Saturday, September 13th. The GSFC Mall area and several buildings were filled with exhibits and demonstrations from Goddard's many current and future projects. LaunchFest was attended by over 13,000 people this year! Hundreds of families came out for great food, music, and entertainment, and got to experience amazing interactive exhibits about past and future missions at NASA.
Sporting the Sigma logo, David supported the SOLC effort. The SOLC is an educational website funded by the Space Network Project. This website showcases NASA technologies and engineering achievements. As part of his work at GSFC, David assists in the design and development of software for SOLC. Curious kids of all ages stopped by SOLC's colorful booth throughout the day to ask questions about satellites, and to pick up some of the many cool souvenirs laid out on the table. Thank you David for setting up the booth, enthusiastically demonstrating key concepts outlined on the SOLC website, representing Sigma, and answering visitor's questions! The event was a great success. To learn more about the LaunchFest activity, point your browser to the following link: http://www.nasa.gov/centers/goddard/news/topstory/2008/launchfest_recap.html.
