Overview:

The Discriminator card is used to provide amplification, discrimination, pulse stretching and level translation functions for those detectors that do not already provide these features. Ten independent detector inputs can be individually adjusted for discriminator thresholds and pulse widths. This card comes with either mounting rails suitable for conduction cooled environments or high altitudes or with heat sinks. Potentiometers can be replaced with fixed resistors for all adjustable parameters, if desired. This card is suitable for use with Sigma's other MCS products or can be used as a "stand-alone" product. The bandwidth is greater than 500 MHz with TTL outputs and greater than 1 GHz with ECL outputs. The amplified detector pulse width can range from 700 ps to 7ns.The card requires +5V, +12V and -12V.
