Sigma Space Corporation was awarded NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.s (GSFC) prestigious Contractor Excellence Award for 2007. Sigma was honored in the small business products category. The award was presented at the 23rd Annual GSFC Quality Symposium held in Greenbelt, MD. The CEO of Sigma Space, Dr. Marcos Sirota, accepted the award for Sigma. The contractor excellence award is a means for NASA GSFC to recognize contractors who have made a substantial contribution to Goddard's mission and who demonstrate their commitment to continuous improvement through their management practices. Applicants for the award must submit evidence of contract performance, customer satisfaction, meeting schedules, controlling costs, quality and productivity improvements, management commitment to continuous improvement, human resource utilization and strategic planning, and long-term research and development. Sigma Space has been a partner with Goddard Space Flight Center on a wide range of noteworthy programs for the last 10 years and provides a broad range of instrument development and technical support services.
