Photon Counting Accessories - Sigma Space Corporation

Sigma Space has developed various hardware products that can be used in a photon counting lidar system or similar application.  These products complement the multichannel  scaler (MCS) hardware and are useful for building complete lidar systems.  These products can also be used individually to perform general purpose system-level functions.  

Sigma’s Discriminator Card provides 10 independent high-speed channels for amplification, discrimination, and buffering of PMT (or other detector) signals.  This is very useful in multi-channel systems that require high-speed signal shaping before being used in MCS or other digital applications.

Sigma’s Pulse Distribution Card provides a low-skew, 1-to-10 distribution function.  This is especially useful in systems where a signal, such as a laser firing sync pulse, must be sent to multiple pieces of hardware. 

Sigma’s Optical Pick-off Card provides a laser pick-off function in systems requiring precise laser firing timing.  This card has a very small form factor and provides multiple signal level outputs.
