Laser Wavelength :: The MPL-4B series lidars are available with either Nd:YLF laser (527 nm) or Nd:YAG / Nd:YVO4 laser (532 nm). Both lasers have similar performance and lifetime.

Polarization Control :: Polarization Control Package: This option includes measurements of co-polarized and cross-polarized backscatter with the MPL for depolarization characteristics. The transmitted beam alternates between the two polarization states on every shot, and the photon counting data is collected using a single optical train, and sorted electronically in the multichannel scalers.

Scanner :: Single or dual axis scanners are available for the MPL instrument to enable synchronized scanning for mapping aerosol concentrations. Scanning is performed in a step and stare manner, and can be programmed in to the measurement cycle using a lookup table.

Window :: Optical grade windows and window mount assemblies are available for MPL installation sites. The windows are optimized for maximum throughput of the lidar signals, and low transmitted wavefront errors. The window mounts are optimized for maintaining low thermal gradients on the window and are adaptable for most buildings, trailers and enclosures via adapter plates.

Window Mount :: Optical grade windows and window mount assemblies are available for MPL installation sites. The windows are optimized for maximum throughput of the lidar signals, and low transmitted wavefront errors. The window mounts are optimized for maintaining low thermal gradients on the window and are adaptable for most buildings, trailers and enclosures via adapter plates.
